Nancy Goedecke


As the first Female Campaign Chair of the United Way of Central AL in its 93-year history, Nancy Goedecke, Chair & CEO of Mayer Electric Supply Co., Inc., will speak to TWN on August 27 about her personal journey in philanthropy in her early years, influenced by her parents and the culture instilled in their children. She will also share information about the services of United Way and tell us her goals in the new challenge she faces as chief fundraiser for the United Way Campaign of 2015-16. Nancy seeks an inclusive campaign that will include new social media techniques and millennials, as well as long-time loyal supporters, and truly values the collaboration of TWN members' in sharing ideas as she prepares for the campaign that kicks off in September. SHE NEEDS OUR INPUT, so please come  prepared to support Nancy in this leadership role by the collective ideas and brainpower of our network. 


Nancy Collat Goedecke is Chair & CEO of Mayer Electric Supply Co., Inc., a company that spans 11 states with 54 locations and over 1100 employees. She is a wife and mother of 2 sons, one of whom has blessed her with a great wife and beautiful granddaughter. Nancy is a graduate of Newcomb College at Tulane University where she served as president of the student body.


During her professional career, Nancy has been deeply involved on 30 corporate and nonprofit organizations (with 16 of these being on the Board of Directors).  She has receive Honors from the Junior League, Girl Scouts, Central AL Women’s Business Center, National Assoc. of Electrical Distributors, and the United Way Outstanding Civic Leader. At a younger age, she was identified as outstanding freshman and outstanding junior in college and the trails she has blazed have continued to grow throughout her lifetime.
