  Mary Tillotson

Retired CNN Broadcaster

Join us on June 26 to hear retired broadcast journalist Mary Tillotson talk about covering the White House for CNN for 30 years and the change in television journalism during the span of her career.

One of the most recognized news anchors at CNN, Tillotson is now retired to her hometown of Tuscaloosa, where she also attended the University of Alabama and majored in journalism.

During her long CNN career working in Washington, D.C., Tillotson was best known for her CNN reporting when she was a White House correspondent and host of CNN & Co.

Tillotson joined CNN in 1980, and reported from the White House from 1985 to 1993. She covered the Presidential nominating conventions and campaigns during those years; she also covered two international summits between Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev. From 1993-1999 she was the permanent host for CNN & Co., during which time the program earned back to back nominations for a National Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Talk Show.
