SEPTEMBER 7 @ 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Mark your calendars for September because Art After 5 is back! The Museum is open late on first Fridays in September through April for an evening of art, music, makers activities, and more! See our collection in a new light when you take an adults-only gallery tour. Discover the maker within and bring home your own masterpiece to put on the fridge. Sip a specialty cocktail crafted by a local mixologist while you enjoy the sounds of a local band. Art After 5 is a free night of fun and entertainment for everyone in Birmingham. We’ll see you there!

You're invited to the inaugural Open Your Purse Auction and Benefit on Friday, September 21st at 6 PM! Join us for a special ladies-only event full of fun that features over 75 designer handbags and dinner in the Grand Bohemian Ballroom.

The Open Your Purse Benefit is unlike any event Birmingham has seen and gives you an opportunity to wear your giving on your arm while positively impacting families in our community.

Proceeds from the Open Your Purse Benefit will go to support
My Secure Family, an initiative that seeks to help equip parents and grandparents in protecting their children from online dangers and other inappropriate content and to encourage and empower individual responsibility in the age of technology.

One exceptional woman will be presented the Power of the Purse Award, given to the woman who brings the most women to this inaugural event to encourage philanthropic support and awareness within the community.

Limited number of tables and tickets are available, so make your reservation soon.

For more information, including table and corporate sponsorships, please call Mackenzie Davis at 615.772.6518 or email her at

My Secure Family Initiative:  Technology is one of the few areas where children can potentially know more than their parents. Due to this dynamic, many parents and grandparents make the mistake of not engaging effectively when it comes to technology, leaving children alone and vulnerable to navigate this dangerous landscape. My Secure Family’s mission is to equip parents and grandparents with tools that provide protection for their kids and to encourage and empower individual responsibility in the age of technology.

This fundraiser will help raise funds to create a secure, online and offline community of like-minded parents and grandparents who are trying to stay current with constantly changing technology as well as protect the next generation of kids. Parents will learn about the latest apps, harmful cartoons, social media sites, and video games and will be given practical tools along with steps to create a safe environment for children in the home.
